alright, so I got this rust bucket from my neighbor after it sat in her garage for 5+years. only the second car I owned and first rebuild. I'll post more pictures as I get further in the build. currently have carb off and rebuilt, hoping i didnt mess it up. in the process of pulling the engine for a rebuild. it's the origional 350 far as I know. seams as tho it's been rebuilt before as the carb was surprisingly clean compaired to what I was seeing in videos.
any tips are greatly appreciated.

on a side not the back windshield is spiderwebbed and I'm having a hard time finding a new one. if you have one near michigan let me know.

Im around lansing area. What parts do you need? Im not going for a stock rebuild so if you need original parts that i can replace with aftermarket we could probably work something out. Im gonna have a screaming metal deathtrap with an unquenchable thirst by the time im done. Lol.

Ahh got ya!...I'm in Metro Detroit...I need the metal trim that goes around each wheel well and some restoration pieces for the interior just mainly get it back to looking the part inside and out....I plan on a 455 big block Olds in the future...keeping it mostly stock appearance wise with a full interior...QA1 complete suspension...coilovers...etc...front and rear Wildwood brake system...master cyl. etc...and a bullet proof rear end with all Moser compotents...ilI plan on going on a large car for large car shootout against Dodges lineup in the power barn if you catch my drift.

Don't know if you plan on keeping the chrome around the wheel wells but if they aren't dented I'd be willing to buy them off of you but not sure which direction you plan on going with your paint and body on your car.

I could probably do that. Ill take a look at quality of them and let you know. Long as i can get em off clean and metal is decent under them i wont mind sending them your way. I just dont want sharp edges exposed. I know a couple guys in metal fab so i can get them to help me get something rad set up for mine.

Yea. Got bits of rust/wear here and there. Youll probably want some cleaner ones.

What lift setup do you got on that 4 door?...hey squid...did you get a chance took at that wheel well trim?
It has air shocks in the back, front is the typical replacement spring of modern times, it came that way when I bought it a few years ago, I'm not big on air shocks typically but with the inconsistencies of modern springs, I accept the air shock's extra maintenance and appreciate the adjustability

I have usually run big rubber, but lately have been going toward smaller rubber, the pic with the black steelies is 4 225/70/15, this pic is with 275/60 and 255/60

Ahh ok!...im due for a suspension upgrade since everything is untouched since it left the factory in 78...the car only has 55k original documented miles on it...I've been doing a ton of replacing on the car due to the age.

Not trying to muddy the water here, but I have a 1979 Custom Cruiser and I've been toying with the idea of removing the wheel well trim completely. I took them off of my 78 Delta 88 and I liked the look. I'm confident that it's the same trim that came on the 88's and 98's. My car is almost completely rust free and the wheel well trim looks pretty good. They do have a few nicks and scratches but overall they are in very good condition. The car spent most of its life in Oklahoma and I brought it to Texas. I seriously doubt that it was ever driven in snow/ice/salt roads. I did take it out when it snowed here in North Texas last year, but we don't salt the roads in Texas. Well maybe a few overpasses get a brine spray during icey conditions but thats usually limited to big city highways and a few interstate bridges. I drove it on the back roads of Hood county to see how the posi worked in snow and I was pleased. Anyway, I might could be convinced to pull the trim off. I put Keystone Klassics on the car and the wheel wells look a bit busy with all that chrome. No promises, but if you get completely stuck looking for the trim, let me know.
