350 and 305 differences?

Have 90 caprice that I got from my cousin. He said it was the 9c1 Houston pd car but I read somewhere those where all just 350 cars. The gauges seem right but the accessories are like what Ive seen on 305s online. Is there a way to tell a difference ? Besides taking heads off. Sorry if this is a rookie question

Check the casting numbers on the block

Thanks!... unfortunately after some scraping of grease i saw it says 5.0l. Its my daily right now so itll have to do but hope to swap soon

Good luck with the swap should be easy from a 305 to 350

All the accessories are the same it is just the internals of the engine that are different. It makes for a very straight forward swap.
