My '82 Chevrolet Caprice Classic 2-Door

Purchased in 1982 from a police officer...5500 miles. I truly believe he didn't care for the 305 5.0 V8 engine. He won't admit to it. I have maintained this beauty and it still looks like it did in '82. I put it away in December and take it out in April. Hasn't seen a Michigan winter in 37 years. (Drove it all year in '82-'83). There were only 11,999 2-Doors mfg. in 1982 vs over 86,000 4-Doors. Later it became the rarest Chevrolet IN 1982. I have kept track from day one on every penny I have put into it. Currently $14,000 dollars. Sounds like a lot but averages out to around $30 month....sounds better looking at it at that angle. 117K miles and still going strong. I call it my Johnny Cash car...replacing it "One Piece At A Time". When you have/own old classic cars be prepared to put money into them. It happens to everyone that has one. But...I truly enjoy driving it around in the summer. It's my special "baby".

Beautiful Caprice!....I've always been a fan of the 2 door B body cars as long as they aren't lifted like a 4x4...I'm in Michigan as well!...Allen Park as a matter of fact...I own a 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 98% rust free besides a few surface freckles...54,000 original documented miles!...I have every single piece of paperwork for the car down to the window sticker...here's a few pictures...I'm looking forward to meeting a few Michiganders for a meeting or a cruise in sometime!

BUT I FAILED to do anything to the car to make it difficult to STEAL,a few hours after parking it in Dallas it was Stolen,gone for good.$20. and 30 minutes of easy work would prevented the thief,All you need to do is buy the 60 minute clock timer like used in a bathroom heater, install in on the wire that goes to the starter solenoid under the dash,if the spring loaded knob is not turned, the motor will not turn over,and you get to keep your car for $20. a one time charge,do it to your cars gentlemen. Wow..29 miles to the gallon !!! I just drive mine around town...13 MPG sorry to say...lol. Tom/ Saginaw MI

It looks just like my 1985 Black 2 door. I had just installed $1700.. Recaro seats the drivers seat had built in heating AND cooling. I made a big mistake in not doing anything to the car to make it harder to steal. What I do is install the 60 minute clock timer like is used in a bathroom heater,install it on the wire that goes to the starter solanoid hide it under the dash, when it counts down and clicks off the engine will NOT turn over. Hours after I arrived Dallas it was stolen. I have installed this on my moms 91 caprice LTZ, Ill bet that is why we still have it.. Every 2 weeks black men would ask my mom " hey lady you wanna sell that car" she replied at age 89 "YOU could not handle this car This Hybrid burns gas AND RUBBER"

Wow. Nice car. She is a keeper. I had a 76 Impala.. such a treat to drive
