What’s up everyone, new user here. Bought an 80 Impala Coupe. Located in north Texas.
Parts seem to be fairly hard to come by for the Impala specifically 80-82.
I’m looking for a LH taillight lens if anyone has one for sale by chance/can point me I a direction of one. Thanks!

Hi, fellow North Texan here. You should check with CTC Auto Ranch in Denton. As luck would have it, they are in North Texas as well. They have a couple of early 80’s Caprice/Impalas and at least one of them has the tail lights intact. I’m betting they can help. 940-492-3007. Good luck

after a random cruise through eBay (of which I’d done many many days before) I randomly came across a left tail light. Finally! Got it in hand. Here’s some fresh paint and wheels on the 80 Impala Coupe. Tail light and shocks on deck for this weekend.

That’s a good looking car, no doubt. :)
I’m curious, does it have the smoking hot L39, 267 in it?
What a technological marvel that was. All that cast iron weight packed with slow moving, skinny, ultra low compression pistons. Cover it up with enough gas, it would produce nearly 100 hp lol.
In an Impala, you could expect a quarter mile time of less than a few minutes. lol

My 82 Impala originally came with that motor. God was it so slow You couldn't even make it squeal a tire going around a corner a full throttle when I got it. Before I became a mechanic I stuck a intake, headers, cam and holley carb on it. I couldn't ever get that holley to run right. I screwed up installing the cam and wiped a couple of lobes off of it. Parked it for 10 years then bought a Goowrench 350 to build a motor from once I finally knew what I was doing. That was many motors ago though.

Beautiful car sir. I know a guy with 2 door impala has big plans. Currently he is swapping to a 6 speed manual with a 358 dirt track motor. His plan is to make it a drift car. My youtube is cf mechanic. I have a 78 aerocoupe. Been building it as I go for the last 11 years.

Yes you guessed it! What a powerhouse it is.

The last 1/4 mile I ran in it I fell asleep.
