You have to loosen the bolts just enough so that you can move the door but not enough for it to move on it's own. It kinda sucks to do and I used to work in a body shop. Plus other factors come into play also such as the alignment of the front fender. I usually take a sharpie and before loosening the bolts trace around the them and any other movable parts so you can see your progress from where you started , this is a very good trick when removing the hood also so it can be placed back in the exact same spot when reinstalled.
