Low daily driver

Wanting to lower my daily but have concerns. There tends to be random stuff in the road and worry about the gas tank catching a hole.

Has anyone made a shield for gas tank like some of the newer cars and/or switched the tank for a plastic one like the newer bbodies. What changes have yall made if any

Not sure how low u want to go or if you have a lot of potholes like I do around here

But if its a daily DO NOT sacrifice driveability for "cool"

The most 2", plus all I do is go to work for the most part. Its random things in the freeway im more worried about. A piece of lumber took out my grille on my roadmaster.
