Hey guys! I was wondering what everyone's favorite '80s-era B-Body was? So that would include the '77-'90 Impala/Caprice, Le Sabre, Electra, Bonneville/Parisienne, and Olds 88/98. I have a soft spot for the Electra, since my grandmother had an '83. My grandfather also had a Caprice wagon. I believe it was a '78 or '79. Although I have to admit I have an odd fondness for the Olds B-Bodies of the time, strangely, especially the diesels. But it's kind of an arm's-length love. I don't know if I'd want to own a late '70s/early '80s GM diesel.

I have to admit I'm partial to the Chevy stuff. But can appreciate all of them. My parents bought a new 1979 Olds Delta 88 Royale, to replace the 75 Impala which replaced the 69 Impala that they gave to my older brother. My first car was a 1970 Impala Custom with the 300 horse 350 in it. Drove the wheels off that thing...

Friend of mine had a 1980(?) Bonnevillle 2-door back in high school. "The Purple Beast." It was that dark burgundy color, and IIRC he had it repainted and it came out more purple, hence the name. Only pic I have, that'd be me on the right in 1989.

Here’s my favorite B Body. It’s a 78 Delta Royale. I ran this one for 12 years. This pic was taken in 85 before it was repainted The same carmine red (code 77). It wasn’t real quick off the line, but on the top end it would pass anything but a gas station.

I love aerocoupe much first was a 79 I drove it into the ground being young and dumb. Now I have a 78 it has rust issues but I have turned it into a cool hot rod daily driver.
